Online Audio Loudness Analyzer
Accurately measure the perceived loudness and digital peaks of your audio files directly in your browser to achieve professional mastering results.
What are LUFS and True Peak?
Our free online LUFS meter is a crucial utility for modern audio mastering. LUFS (Loudness Units relative to Full Scale) is the industry standard metric that calculates how loud a piece of audio sounds to the human ear. True Peak, on the other hand, measures the absolute maximum limit of the digital signal to prevent distortion and clipping. By analyzing your track locally in the browser, this tool ensures your original recordings and royalty-free music remain 100% private.
How to measure your audio?
Simply upload your uncompressed WAV or MP3 file into the analyzer. The tool will scan the entire waveform to calculate the Integrated LUFS (the overall average loudness of the whole track), the Short-Term LUFS (dynamic loudness over 3-second intervals), and the True Peak. The results are displayed instantly on the dashboard.
Who uses this tool?
This browser-based loudness meter is heavily used by mastering engineers, independent musicians, and podcast editors. It is essential for checking your final mix against streaming platform standards (usually -14 LUFS and -1 dB True Peak) so that your audio is never penalized, distorted, or quieted down by Spotify or YouTube normalization algorithms.
